DIVINE LOVE

What exactly is divine love? Based on my personal experience, I would describe it as a recognition of your highest self! Your higher self is the version of you that has been through all the possible variations of your past, present, and future experiences both on this planet and beyond this realm. Your immediate connection to Source, God, or the universe is through your higher self because they embody the vibration of unconditional love.

God is love! Therefore, one cannot experience God without experiencing love for self. Additionally, you cannot truly love others if you do not fully accept yourself, even the ugly parts of oneself. Cultivating an honest relationship with self is the first step to experiencing divine love. Radical self love is intentional, it is not fleeting. It honors boundaries due to acknowledgement of inherent self-worth. Your higher self loves you without inhibitions so the goal is to love yourself with the same intensity.

It is important to note that self love is not a replacement for communal, familial, or romantic love. Those expressions of love are just as important as the love you have for self. However, radical self love will allow you to show up for others as the healthiest and most self aware version of yourself. Once you understand that the highest vibration in the universe is love, and that your highest self is already connected to this vibration, it’s only a matter of tapping into this version of you that already exists. Once you tap into this version of yourself, you experience God firsthand.

A good way to know you are connecting to your highest self is through recognizing God when you look at yourself in the mirror. If this still feels foreign to you, then keep doing shadow work and inner child healing until you feel worthy of experiencing God through self.
