As I usher in my birthday and celebrate another year of life, I am inclined to reflect on lessons from this past 26th year. Based on profection years in astrology, age 26 highlights the 3rd house of communication, neighborhoods, short distance travel, and siblings.

Communication was a major theme and this showed up through my role as a senior writer at Just N Life. I have built a solid foundation for my writing skills by exploring various topics through my articles. I am especially pleased at the amount of astrology articles I have written which has expanded my spiritual knowldge.

I have also learned that I need to be a better listener when communicating. I am a very passionate speaker so my excitement can sometimes get the best of me. Moving forward, I plan on patiently taking my time before responding prematurely or defensively, especially when triggered.

Another important takeaway is learning to be comfortable with uncomfortable conversations. Whether its through friendships, romantic, or work relationships, uncomfortable discusions are inevitable. How to approach these conversations is what matters most, especially the tone and delivery. It is a part of healthy conflict resolution—an important skill that I plan on embracing moving forward.

Something notable relating to the theme of neighborhoods is that I moved within my neighborhood during my 26th year. I also unexpectedly saw my siblings after years of being no contact with them due to the estranged relationship with my mother.

As I move into my 4th house profection year, I am expecting themes about ancestry, lineage, my inner child, mother wounds, and home life to take center stage. When I reflect a year from now, I look forward to witnessing how much these themes will impact my 27th year.
