Solar Return Reflections
It’s my birthday!!! Completing another year around the sun fills me with so much gratitude, because many people didn’t live to celebrate their birthdays. This past year has been a rollercoaster, but my faith in self has definitely deepened. I am especially grateful for the expansion of my emotional and spiritual consciousness.
Learning to regulate my emotions will forever be a lifelong journey. While I struggle with the need to control my external circumstances, I am slowly letting go of anything beyond my capacity. As long as I know I did everything I could within my power to influence a situation, the rest is out of my hands. This is definitely hard to practice, but I am more exhausted from worrying, so I am motivated to keep exercising this muscle.
Owning my spiritual gifts has also been a highlight this past year. I struggle with acknowledging my intuition and spiritual power, but offering tarot readings to the community has been a reminder that I am truly a spirit guide. I am so driven to complete my karmic debt within this lifetime so I don’t have to reincarnate to this realm again. After transcending this realm, I hope to be a spirit guide who helps guide people having a human experience on this planet. However, I’ve come to accept that I am already a spirit guide and don’t have to wait to do that work from the spirit realm.
I completed my 4th house profection year during my 27th year of life. This means themes surrounding family, home life, childhood, heritage, and the mother were highlighted. This showed up through reconnecting more with my Kenyan roots by meeting and connecting with more Kenyans while living in the US. I also cooked more of my childhood Kenyan dishes and received Kenyan products from a friend who visited the country.
As I enter my 5th house profection year during this solar return, I am excited to tap more into creative expression, things that please me, and romanticize my life. Given that Jupiter will be in Leo throughout my 5th house profection year, I believe 28 will be my most abundant year yet!
